Andy's Story
From getting back into the routine to transitioning to new curriculums, the back-to-school season can be a stressful time of year. Especially when you aren't set up to thrive.
This summer Andy needed new axle plates, which are essential for movement and stability, on her wheelchair. Because her chair was donated, insurance would not cover the parts needed for it to be fixed. Andy's family was left to incur these costs, and needed to do so quickly to guarantee her success at school and life at home.
When we learned about Andy's challenges and the time sensitivity to her needs, our team was able to step in quickly. We gifted her the new parts while overseeing the ordering process, taking the guesswork out for her family so they could focus on getting ready for school.
