Mackenzie's Story

Mackenzie

For most teenagers, finally driving on your own is a rite of passage. The ultimate declaration of independence. At 17, Mackenzie was no exception. To meet this monumental milestone, Mackenzie faced a few additional obstacles. Her vehicle needed to be modified to include a swivel seat on the driver's side that would allow her to operate the car and get in and out on her own.

Unfortunately, these modifications were costly and not covered by insurance. Feeling overwhelmed and discouraged by the financial strains and the undertaking of this process, Mackenzie and her family reached out to Mariah's Miracle. Without hesitation, we jumped in to help. Before long, Mackenzie not only had her license but was hitting the open road by herself, on her own terms (abiding by all traffic laws and house curfews, of course).
