Our Mission

Our mission is to provide assistance to cover the cost of pediatric patients’ needed therapy and equipment when insurance will not. Our vision is that every Arizona child receives the services and resources critical to living a full life! We are a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Tax ID:85-3162245

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to live a full life! Some children need specialized equipment and/or therapy to ensure this happens. Unfortunately, needed services and resources are costly, and too often insurance denies coverage. Therefore, Mariah’s Miracle was founded!

Who We Are

On March 23, 2020, Kids Place lost our beloved pediatric physical therapist Mariah Devries to cancer. Mariah joined Kids Place West in January 2018 after graduating from Northern Arizona University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She quickly became a favorite among her many pediatric patients and coworkers. Mariah married the love of her life, Brian, in 2017, and the two found out they were pregnant with their first child in 2019. Toward the end of her pregnancy, Mariah learned she had an aggressive form of cancer called epithelioid angiosarcoma that had already spread to her liver, ovaries, rib cage, spine, and brain.

At 26 years old, Mariah became a new mother, giving birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, Clara, on January 19, 2020. At a time when new mothers should be bonding, nursing, and taking care of their infant, Mariah fought for her life and more time. We still struggle every day to learn how to live on Earth without her but take comfort knowing Mariah’s legacy will live on forever through her family, her beautiful daughter Clara, and the countless friends, coworkers, people, and children she touched in her short time.

Pancake Breakfast & Trunk or Treat
Join Mariah’s Miracle for a FREE morning of family fun at our Pancake Breakfast & Trunk or Treat! Bring the whole family and enjoy pancakes, a pumpkin bounce house, arts and crafts, trunk or treating, and plenty of fun for the kids.
This event is free and open to the community, so invite your friends and family and come spend the morning with us!

Drive for dreams golf tournament

Join us on November 7th for Mariah's Miracle's 3rd Annual Drive for Dreams Golf Tournament at Palm Valley Golf Club.
This exciting day on the course brings together golfers, sponsors, and community supporters to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Arizona children. Proceeds from the event help provide therapies, adaptive equipment, safety beds, cranial helmets, gait trainers, and other essential resources for children when insurance falls short.
Your registration includes golf, cart, range balls, breakfast, lunch, contests, prizes, and an unforgettable day of fun, networking, and giving back.

The Cardinals Climb

Join Team Mariah's Miracle for the Arizona Cardinals Climb!
We're excited to partner with the Arizona Cardinals Foundation for the Cardinals Climb on February 20 at State Farm Stadium!
This exciting event will take the place of our annual Dash for Dreams 5K, giving our community a brand-new way to come together while continuing to support Arizona children and families.
The Cardinals Climb brings together families, friends, and community members to make a difference while taking on trail-inspired routes throughout State Farm Stadium. Best of all, 75% of every dollar raised by Team Mariah's Miracle goes directly back to our organization, helping provide life-changing therapy and adaptive equipment for Arizona children when insurance is not enough.
After completing the climb, stay and enjoy a free concert on the Great Lawn, making it a fun-filled day for the whole family!
Registration is just $25 through September 26!
We're also working toward an exciting goal. If Mariah's Miracle reaches our early registration goal by August 13, we could be selected for the opportunity to host a table at the Arizona Cardinals' preseason game. We'd love to have our community represented there!
